Digital Case Submission Steps
-
01
Prepare the Prescription
Include tooth number, restoration type, material, shade, implant details when applicable and any special instructions.
-
02
Export Open Files
STL files are commonly used for geometry. PLY or OBJ files may include color or texture data when supported by the scanner and lab workflow.
-
03
Include Bite and Opposing Arch
Occlusion, opposing dentition and bite records help the lab review contacts, clearance and design limitations.
-
04
Confirm Implant Information
For implant cases, provide implant system, platform, scan body information and restoration preference before design begins.
-
05
Use a Case Reference
Use an anonymous case reference and avoid unnecessary personal information in file names or notes.
-
06
Review Lab Feedback
If margins, bite, shade or implant details are unclear, clarify them before production to reduce avoidable delays.
